ACES is committed to building the capacity of local school districts to serve student with disabilities in the “least restrictive environment” and increase their time spent with non-disabled peers resulting in a cadre of successful programs that connect ACES specialists with district staff to serve students with disabilities in their local district.
ASPIRE
The New Haven ASPIRE Middle School Program located at 560 Ella T. Grasso Boulevard is for students, grades 6-8, who are identified through the New Haven Board of Education Pupil Personnel Office as needing a more structured program in order to meet their academic, behavioral and social needs. Urban Youth
The New Haven Urban Youth Elementary Program at ACES Mill Road School is for students, grades kindergarten through 5th grade, who are identified through the New Haven Board of Education Pupil Personnel Office as needing a more structured program in order to meet their academic, behavioral and social needs.
West Haven High School
An In-District Collaborative program at West Haven High School provides educational services to students identified with intellectual and other disabilities. Daily programming includes academic, vocational and social skills instruction.
