ARCLMS is an advanced educator preparation program approved by the CT State Board of Education. It was developed by ACES in response to the statewide shortage of qualified, certified school library media specialists in CT. Teachers who complete the one year program of study will earn cross-endorsement #062, Library Media Specialist K-12, and are eligible for employment as a library media specialist in any CT public school.
In order to provide a high quality and accessible instructional experience for all learners, ARCLMS is offered as a blended learning program (face-to-face and online sessions). Participants must attend all face-to-face sessions and engage fully as professionals in online session content.
