Located in the heart of New Haven’s Audubon Arts District since 1973, ACES Educational Center for the Arts is a public, half-time, magnet high school serving the 25 school districts in south central Connecticut and beyond.

We at ECA believe in the capacity of the human spirit to create, connect and transform. Through the intensive study of music, dance, theatre, writing or the visual arts, ECA students learn alongside practicing artists and peers as they discover their creative potential. At ECA, we question and collaborate, play and perform, as we explore ourselves and our world.

ACES Closings and Delays

Inclement Weather Update:

The following schools and programs will be closed on Monday, February 23, 2026.

ACCESS Individuals
ACES The Bridge
Brightwell Academy
ACES Chase Academy
ECA
Mill Road
REGIONS Hamden
SAILS
TLC
Village/EIBI
Whitney Academy/Create
Whitney North
WIMS

The following programs will operate based on the decision of the districts where they are located:

ACES International Preschool/Childcare Center in Woodbury
ACES International Preschool/Childcare Center in Newtown
Ansonia Mead and Middle School
REGIONS Hartford, and Plainville
West Haven High and Seth Haley
The NEST at Perry Hill (Shelton)

Any ACES employee who works at a site operated by another school district should follow the decision of that school district.

ACES Offices will be closed, which includes all 12 month ACES employees.

All essential staff should report as scheduled.
