The RESC Alliance to Hold Igniting Change Conference in Fall 2022
June 8th, 2022
The RESC Alliance is convening a year-long professional learning initiative with opportunities for districts at all levels of readiness for change. It’s time to move beyond building a common understanding and start creating an equitable educational system. Together, it is time to Ignite Change in Connecticut!
This exciting opportunity will kick off with a conference on Wednesday, October 19th with two nationally renowned equity leaders, Principal Baruti Kafele and Dr. Rich Milner. This initiative will be built around four equity-centered pathway themes: Grading Reform, Culturally Responsive Pedagogy, Inclusive School Culture, and Equity-Focused Leadership. Throughout the year, there will be opportunities for educators to engage in professional learning, communities of practice, and on-site coaching to support bridging understanding to action in their schools and districts. We will wrap up the year with a second conference in the spring (Save the Date: April 5, 2023). Please watch a promotional video, share with your staff, and register here!
Additionally, The RESC Alliance is soliciting proposals for 60-minute breakout sessions for the fall conference aligned to any one or more of the four themes above. Please consider encouraging staff to submit a proposal if they have experience and expertise in any of these areas.
Please visit rescalliance.org/ignitingchange for more information, to register for the conference and to submit proposals. If you have questions, please contact Emily Freel (efreel@aces.org).
