Area Cooperative Educational Services (ACES) is pleased to announce that ACES Wintergreen Interdistrict Magnet School has been awarded a $5 million Federal Magnet School Assistance Program grant over a 5-year period to further develop its arts program and diversify enrollment efforts.

Area Cooperative Educational Services (ACES) is pleased to announce the promotion of Kevin Keating as Director of ACES Pupil Services. Kevin will commence his new position starting September 13, 2022. Prior to Kevin’s promotion as Director of Pupil Services, he was the Assistant Director of Pupil Services at ACES.

Area Cooperative Educational Services (ACES) is excited to announce that ACES International, in partnership with 21stCentEd, will be hosting a Summer of STEM 2022 Showcase event to highlight the work created by students attending the ACES International Summer of STEM program. The showcase will be at ACES at Chase’s athletic center (565 Chase Parkway, Waterbury, CT, 06708) on Thursday, August 18, 2022 from 9:30AM-11AM.

Area Cooperative Educational Services (ACES) is pleased to announce the promotion of Juliellen Rodriguez as Principal of ACES Whitney Academy. Ms. Rodriguez, who most recently served as Assistant Principal at ACES Whitney Academy, has been promoted to building Principal effective August 16, 2022.

Area Cooperative Educational Services (ACES) is proud to announce the inaugural ACES Laces Up for Education charity walk, happening on October 16th, 2022 at Lighthouse Point Park in New Haven, CT. Proceeds from the walk will go towards ACES students’ education by providing technology equipment upgrades that will be used to further enhance their education.

ACES announces its participation in the Community Eligibility Program (CEP), which provides nutritious meals at no cost to enrolled students. The CEP is part of the federally funded National School Lunch Program and/or School Breakfast Program.

Area Cooperative Educational Services (ACES) is pleased to announce the promotion of William A. Shanley as Assistant Principal of ACES Mill Road School. Prior to William Shanley’s promotion as Assistant Principal, he was a teacher at ACES Mill Road School for fourteen years, serving in a variety of teaching assignments.

ACES is pleased to announce the appointment of Frank LaBanca, EdD, as the new principal of ACES at Chase in Waterbury, CT. Dr. LaBanca will serve as an educational leader, overseeing aspects of school culture, continuous improvement, and academic success at ACES at Chase. 

In partnership with 21stCentEd, ACES is offering FREE summer programs that will enhance a child’s creativity and innovative thinking, all while having fun and participating in STEM activities.
