  • ACES is Bringing Active Shooter Response Training to the New Haven Region

    ACES and the ALICE Training Institute have teamed up to bring ALICE Instructor Certification Training to the New Haven region on Tuesday, November 3rd and Wednesday, November 4th. The course will be held at the Whitney High School North/Leeder Hill Campus, 130-B Leeder Hill Drive, Hamden, CT 06517.

    This two-day Instructor Certification course is designed to teach proactive option-based strategies to increase survivability in a violent critical incident. The ALICE strategies empower individuals to participate in their own survival in the gap between when a violent situation begins and when law enforcement arrives.

    ACES Thomas Edison Magnet Middle School (TEMS) has been named a National Magnet School of Distinction by Magnet Schools of America, the national association for magnet and theme-based schools. ACES was one of twelve schools in Connecticut to receive the Distinction designation and one of two hundred and forty-four schools to receive it nationwide.
