JANUARY 2026
The new year of 2026 has brought more opportunities for our WIMS wolves. We started the year strong with two community partnerships to explore. Our K-4 students visited the CT Children's Museum in New Haven to explore the 'multiple intelligences' theory through the arts. The Shubert Theater visited WIMS and promoted art, theater, and literacy with grades 2-5. Our boys' and girls' basketball teams were going strong throughout the month.
DECEMBER 2025
December brought the 6th annual ACES WIMS Winter Fair Marketplace, which is an ode to arts entrepreneurship. Our students and their classes become merchants and showcase an item they create. Students learn mathematics, design, and marketing, amongst other skills, through the art of economics.
NOVEMBER 2025
November was a large community focus and expression of “Dare to Dream”, one of our school mantras. We hosted our very first career expo, featuring over 50 professionals from the community who showcased what they do with our students. Everyone from famous basketball players to politicians to construction workers to lawyers was in attendance to inspire, create, and activate with our wolves.
OCTOBER 2025
Creative momentum builds in October. Our photography class is in full swing. Both teachers and students also experienced our local resource, the Peabody Museum, using it as a template for arts and science-based learning across all grades. Wintergreen alumni were back for our high school fair. At this point, we are beginning to focus on our productions for the year and our special events. All of our projects feel purposeful and connected.
SEPTEMBER 2025
Welcome to WIMS! We are red carpet ready. Lots of great things are happening. All of our students are quickly finding their artistic passions.
