ACES Director of Curriculum led a panel discuss on ACES Summer Academy, a summer school program for credit recovery and enrichment.

Malenky Welsh of Branford, 18, right, was the first place competition winner in the Greenwich English Speaking Union 33rd Annual Shakespeare Competition and Willow Giannotti-Garlinghouse of New Haven, 17, left, won second place in the statewide Shakespeare monologue competition, both representing the ACES Education Center for the Arts Theatre Department. Welsh is now eligible to compete on the national level.

ACES Open Choice program currently serves 469 students from 14 districts.

ECA students will once again represent Connecticut a the National English Speaking Union Shakespeare Competition.

Students, parents and staff from ACES Educational Center for the Arts met with local legislators on February 22, 2017 to discuss the importance of continued funding for magnet schools.

On Thursday, February 16, 2017, ACES Wintergreen Interdistrict Magnet School (WIMS) hosted a legislative breakfast. The purpose of the breakfast was to better acquaint area legislators with ACES WIMS and to discuss the value of sustained support to our magnet schools.

Parents, school staff and lawmakers met in the North Broad Street school’s media room Tuesday morning to ask for help in protecting magnet school funding.

Students at ACES Mill Road School were treated to Cajun Spice Pork on Wednesday, February 8, 2017.  Chef Fontanez from Farmington Public School assisted with the Traveling Chef Event which featured Chartwells SIMPLY GOOD Food Focus Herbs and Spices.

New Haven Public Schools is now accepting applications for the 2017-2018 lottery.  ACES schools participating in this lottery include:  Educational Center for the Arts in New Haven and Wintergreen Interdistrict Magnet School in Hamden.
