October 21st, 2016
ACES 17th Annual Business Advisory Council’s Employer Recognition Dinner was held at Anthony’s Ocean View on October 19th, 2016. This was the 12th consecutive year the dinner was at this location.
The Theme for this Year’s Dinner was "Together Everyone Achieves More"
The event was hosted by ACES Business Advisory Council. Ray Andrewsen of AM 1220 WQUN was the Master of Ceremonies for the 9th consecutive year. Anthony Rescigno - President of the Greater New Haven Chamber of Commerce and Executive Director of the Regional Leadership Council since September 2000 was the Business Keynote Speaker.
The Employer Recognition Dinner recognizes 70 Companies & Organizations that ACES has worked with over the last year that provided work and training opportunities to over 300 Students and Adults with Disabilities in our programs.
The event not only recognizes these wonderful community partners but also provides an opportunity for some of our past graduates to speak about their work experiences and the tremendous impact work has on their lives. This year student speakers were Sheikale Knight; Anthony Britt; Lillian Warner; Arnie Rivas Maldonado and Channel Collins. Lorenzo Rivera and Joel Flecha were our adult speakers from ACES ACCESS Program.
