ACES Magnet Choice is coordinated by ACES. Families in any non-partner school district can apply to a lottery for open seats at ACES Wintergreen Interdistrict Magnet School in Hamden or at ACES Chase Academy in Waterbury. Sibling preference will only apply if the student is currently enrolled.

A Note on Transportation

ACES Chase Academy:
All ACES Chase Academy families will receive transportation.  Any district with less than 20 students attending ACES Chase Academy will need to utilize a bus stop, most likely in another district.

ACES Wintergreen Interdistrict Magnet School:
All Wintergreens families that have 20 or more students in a district will receive transportation.  Families with less than 20 students in their district will not receive ACES transportation.  These families will receive a travel subsidy funded by ACES.

ACES Transportation is defined as: Students who ride on the “Regular” bus.  

Funding for Students that require specialized transportation (as defined in an IEP or 504 plan as a related service) will be provided by the students “District of Residences.”
