Janet Gipson leads Talent Acquisition at Yale University, where she oversees the strategy, technology, and people behind hiring for the university. She joined Yale in 2022 and has since focused on strengthening the pipeline between New Haven and the institution, with a particular commitment to creating real, sustainable pathways into employment for the community.

Before Yale, Janet spent over a decade in sales and business development, rising to Vice President of Sales and Marketing at DISH Network before shifting her career toward talent and workforce strategy. She holds degrees in mathematics, engineering, and business, including a dual degree from Spelman College and Georgia Tech and an MBA from William & Mary.

Janet is also co-founder of Parhelion Career Accelerator, which prepares early-career professionals for the workplace, and founder of Absoulutely Balanced, a practice combining executive coaching, somatic movement, and professional transition support. She serves on the board of New Haven Reads and is a member of the New Haven Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated.
