ACES Opens New Treatment and Learning Center in Hamden
July 14th, 2021
For Immediate Release
(North Haven, CT – July 14, 2021) Area Cooperative Educational Services (ACES) is pleased to announce the opening of its new Treatment and Learning Center (TLC) located at 205 Skiff Street, Hamden, CT. The new facility, which opened on July 6, offers Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services to children with Autism Spectrum Disorder and other disabilities.
The center is staffed with a team of Board-Certified Behavior Analysts and Behavior Technicians who focus on a collaborative approach to help individuals meet their potential by providing services across environments: at the center, in the home and within the school setting. Services offered at the center include skill assessment, ABA treatment, parent training, and after school enrichment. In addition to ABA services, TLC staff will offer speech and occupational therapy services, as well as summer programming.
“ACES is always interested in finding ways to provide and expand services to our students and families. The new TLC program at 205 Skiff Street, offers families flexibility through this outpatient center which is covered through insurance plans,” said ACES Executive Director, Thomas Danehy.
Carrie Hartman, a BCBA and Licensed Behavior Analyst, is the Clinical Coordinator of ACES Behavior Services and Autism Programs and will be overseeing the Treatment and Learning Center. “We are so excited to finally open the doors at TLC. We have been providing home-based ABA services to individuals for almost two decades and services to school districts for over thirty years. We wanted to expand the services and opportunities that we could provide to our students, families, and community,” explained Hartman.
The Treatment and Learning Center is a part of ACES Behavior Services. ACES Behavior Services provides a wide array of school-based services designed to assist school districts, families, and communities in supporting students presenting complex behavioral and instructional needs.
