Anthony Gennaro Promoted to ACES Security & Emergency Preparedness Director

(North Haven, CT – November 10, 2022) Area Cooperative Educational Services (ACES) is pleased to announce the promotion of Anthony Gennaro to ACES Security & Emergency Preparedness Director. Gennaro was the Security Specialist at ACES. As the Director of Security Anthony will maintain a safe and secure environment for students, employees, and visitors by helping to develop, establish and enforce safety and security policies, access control procedures, accident prevention efforts, support risk management efforts, fire, safety, emergency management, asset protection, parking control, and traffic enforcement programs.

It has been a privilege to get to know and work with everyone here at ACES. I look forward to the future and whatever it may bring. Together I know we can be successful and accomplish our goals of keeping our students and staff safe.”

Anthony is a graduate of the 285th session of the Connecticut Police Academy. He also completed his Field Training Evaluation Program to receive his P.O.S.T Certification. Anthony also has an Associate of Science in Criminal Justice from Tunxis Community College.   

Anthony Gennaro brings to his work an extensive background in security and safety. Prior to his work at ACES, Anthony was a Climate Specialist in Meriden Public Schools where he also served on the Safety Committee, reviewed the school All Hazard Safety Plan, assisted with event operations, and served on the School Crisis Team Committee. Gennaro was also a Police Officer for the City of Middletown. As a Police Officer, Gennaro held multiple positions such as a Field Training Officer, Special Investigative Unit Detective specializing in juvenile investigations, and High School Resource Officer.

Anthony Gennaro will continue to serve our initiative for safety and security assuring our students, staff, and community feels safe and allowing ACES to continue its mission to enhance and transform lives through education, innovation, and leadership.
