Thomas Edison Middle School student present at CECA Tech Expo

May 8th, 2017

On May 3, 2017, four students from ACES Thomas Edison Middle School (TEMS) demonstrated a series of robots they built and programmed to complete a task as part of their Project Lead the Way (PLTW) class.  In the Automation and Robotics PLTW course, they learned about gears and gear ratios, programming and building projects like cars, catapults, conveyor belts and pulleys.

The CECA Tech Expo was held in the Legislative Office Building and students had the opportunity to share their love of technology with our legislative leaders.  It was a great day to showcase the importance of technology use in schools.
