Biography

Brett Epstein is originally from Connecticut [ECA Theatre Department alum ‘05] & received his Bachelors Degree in Rhode Island [Providence College; Theatre/Writing — cum laude]. He has acted regionally in the comedies UNNECESSARY FARCE (Millbrook Playhouse), BLACK COMEDY (Bristol Valley Theatre) and THE NERD (Theater Barn) among others. He has appeared on RAY DONOVAN on Showtime and BETTY on HBO. You may also recognize him utilizing his comedy chops on Netflix’s FRIENDS FROM COLLEGE, THE ILIZA SCHLESINGER SKETCH SHOW and HBO Max's THAT DAMN MICHAEL CHE. 

Brett wrote and starred in the films SEALAND CARES!, QUITTING and DIARY ROOM, which have enjoyed screenings and received awards at Blackbird Film Festival, Burbank International Film Festival, OutFilm Awards, Lower East Side Film Festival among others. Brett is an advanced level improviser (UCB NY + Groundlings LA), host of the long-running Rule of 7x7 series (New York Times, Playbill and TimeOut NY highlight), and comedic acting coach. He recently directed the Ken Ludwig farce MOON OVER BUFFALO at Providence College.
