Hey all, Braydon here! Today we learned all about the beautiful plant Sunpatiens. These plants can come in four different colors which include; Pink, Red, Purple and White. This plant is incredible since it can survive in hot weather. The plant needs to be watered daily and fertilized every few weeks.
Sunpatiens are very fragile and can possibly die if you don't take care of them. You can't overwater it, as if you do, it will get soggy and potentially die. The soil must be moist and not overbearingly wet. Sunpatiens can be in shade, but make sure it's a sunny day and not cloudy or cold! Make sure the soil it's planted in is easily drainable. So If you want to get Sunpatiens make sure to have space in or out of your house that has a lot of sunshine. Now enjoy this beautiful plant and take good care of it!
Thatโs all for now! Stay tuned for the next post!

This Friday, April 11th, our school will be participating in the National Day of Silence, a powerful event that raises awareness about the silencing of LGBTQ+ students due to bullying and discrimination. This day serves as a reminder of the struggles faced by many in the LGBTQ+ community and the importance of fostering a safe, inclusive environment for all.
How You Can Participate:
1. Wear Black: We encourage all students and staff to wear black on April 11th as a sign of solidarity and support for those who feel silenced due to their identity.
2. Silent Participation: For those who feel comfortable, we invite you to take part in the act of silence for the day. This symbolic gesture is to raise awareness about the silencing of LGBTQ+ students due to bullying and discrimination and to help draw attention to the need for more open and accepting spaces for LGBTQ+ individuals.
Why It Matters: LGBTQ+ students often experience bullying, harassment, and exclusion, which can leave them feeling isolated and voiceless. The Day of Silence is a way to stand together and show our support for the LGBTQ+ community, helping to amplify voices that have been silenced by discrimination. It's not just about raising awareness- it is to emphasize that everyone deserves to feel seen, heard, and valued.
We encourage everyone to reflect on the importance of inclusion, respect, and kindness. Let's make our school a place where everyone, regardless of their identity, feels safe and accepted.
