Graduation for the Class of 2025 was held last Friday and we couldn't be any more proud of our graduates! 🦅💙

Hey everyone its Braydon C. and Devon H.K.! We have returned to give you the most amazing news! June is Pride Month. It's where we celebrate the LGBTQ+ Community and honor those who are fighting for justice, peace, and acceptance. This is a picture of a bulletin board in school where everyone is invited to post why they celebrate Pride. Pride doesn't have to be celebrated just for those who are LGBTQ+, others who are allies can also celebrate and support those who are being treated unfairly. Parades in Middletown or New York are great ways to celebrate. Pride is a very important part of history and it will be celebrated for years to come! We hope you celebrate Pride and help support others, it might just make their day!

🌊🐢 A special visitor returns each year to Whitney Academy — a mother turtle who chooses our campus as the perfect spot to lay her eggs! Our students take this annual event seriously, stepping up to protect these amazing creatures. They've created signs to raise awareness and placed protective cages over the nests to guard against predators. A big shout out to Room 225 for going above and beyond! They've been tracking nest locations, sharing important information about the turtles, and even making sure our parking lot signs help keep them safe. Teamwork like this makes a big difference — thank you to everyone helping to protect our turtle friends! 💚🐢

Perfect day for a school-wide field trip to the beach at Lighthouse Point. 🏖️🐚 Students had a blast flying kites, playing team sports, collecting rocks and shells, learning about local wildlife, walking along the shore, writing in the sand, and getting some vitamin d from the sun. ☀️🩵 Special thanks to Rachel Cabral, one of our wonderful teachers, for organizing this trip, and to each of our incredible staff members who helped make this a safe, fun, educational, and memorable day! 🌊🐠✨

Tomorrow a small handful of drama students are going to ACES Village School to perform musical numbers from The Wizard Of Oz play to the students there. We will be doing many scenes, such as The Scarecrow song, Wizard of Oz Introduction, and more! The play dates are on Thursday, May 22nd and Friday, May 23rd, so come to ACES Whitney Academy and see Drama Club perform The Wizard of Oz! We hope to see you there!. And that's all for today's post! The Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee created this Diversity Map to celebrate the rich cultural backgrounds of our students and their families here at Whitney Academy. Each gem on the map represents a place in the world that a Whitney family calls home — with students representing almost 30 different countries across the globe! 🌍
