PROGRAM OUTCOMES     APPLY

The Education Policy Fellowship Program (EPFP) is the nationally recognized leadership development program sponsored by the Institute for Educational Leadership (IEL) and managed in CT by Area Cooperative Educational Services (ACES).

EPFP is a year-long leadership development program for emerging and experienced leaders. EPFP fellows work with established leaders in education, politics, advocacy and related sectors in order to learn to advocate on behalf of their organizations, develop networks of influence, and build their own leadership capacity. CT EPFP alumni hold influential positions in school district central offices, public and private schools, institutes of higher education, the CT State Department of Education, and education-related nonprofits and advocacy organizations. Fellows are typically endorsed and supported by their employer.

Leading for Equity

In addition to the program’s ongoing areas of emphasis, each year a specific area of focus is identified. This year’s focus is on “Leading for Equity,” with specific learning aligned to the needs of leaders in the areas of special education, education for English learners, and school finance. Participants will gain the skills and confidence they need to work for positive change on behalf of the organization, and the students and families they serve.
