Welcome to the Library Media Center

Library Media Specialist: Michelle Gray

The Thomas Edison Library Media Center is an inviting, multi-purpose space boasting two teaching areas, a comfortable seating area for reading, a computer lab, and a classroom for the home of our future Makerspace.

Students receive direct instruction from the library media specialist (LMS) covering a broad range of research and literacy skills. Collaborative instruction between the LMS and classroom teachers engages students in research-based inquiry and exploration.

All students are given an opportunity to visit the library and obtain materials for class assignments, enrichment projects, and personal reading.

Introductory sessions are provided for all incoming sixth graders to familiarize them with policies, procedures, and the media center staff.
