Rachel Sexton Named Chief of ACES Institute

For Immediate Release: Rachel Sexton Named Chief of ACES Institute

June 29, 2017. North Haven, CT: Rachel Sexton was named as Chief of the ACES Institute, a division of Area Cooperative Educational Services (ACES), a regional educational service center serving greater New Haven. In this role, she will oversee the new ACES Institute platform. The ACES Institute will focus on building agency capacity through developing resources related to talent, leadership, grants and programs as well as processes to create greater consistency of practice and to capture the knowledge residing in ACES. The Chief of the Institute is part of the executive leadership team.
Rachel was one of the original teachers at ACES Collaborative High School, which later became CAMS. Before re-joining ACES, Rachel was a teacher in the New Haven Public Schools and an educational consultant. She has been with the agency for five years, serving as an Education Specialist, Director of Talent Development, and most recently, Interim Chief of the ACES Institute. Rachel has a Bachelor of Arts in History with an education policy certificate from Dartmouth (1988), where she graduated Summa Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa; a Masters of Arts in Teaching Social Studies from Brown University (1989); and a Masters of Arts in Liberal Studies in Humanities from Wesleyan University. She completed the Sacred Heart University administrator certification program. Rachel is currently enrolled in the school superintendent certification program at Central Connecticut State University.

Area Cooperative Educational Services (ACES) is a regional educational service center, one of six in the state of Connecticut.
