ACES New Director of Fiscal Services Olga Simoes
(North Haven, CT. December 9, 2019) Area Cooperative Educational Services (ACES) is proud to announce the appointment of Olga Simoes as Director, ACES Fiscal Services. Olga comes to ACES after two years as Director of Finance for Oxford (CT) Board of Education. She will report to ACES Executive Director Dr. Thomas Danehy who made the announcement.
“We are very excited that Olga has joined the team to head up our Fiscal Resources Department. Her overall experience as both a certified school business administrator and in educational finances is the perfect combination for our complex organization,” said Danehy. “We pride ourselves in making sure that we maximize our resources to serve our schools and market resources now and in the future. Olga will definitely strengthen our team to accomplish that goal.”
Olga earned an undergraduate Bachelor of Science (2015) degree and Masters of Business Administration (2018) degree in Accounting from The University of New Haven. Besides the Oxford Board of Education, she held financial positions with the Town of Bethany, CT and City of Bridgeport, CT, which included preparing budgets for the Bridgeport Public School’s Board of Education. “My goal at ACES is to maximize the use of resources for the betterment of students and to support the work of the teachers and administrators so that they can focus on the learning needs of students,” said Olga. “I came to ACES because of its stellar reputation for providing diverse and unique individualized programs and services for the students it serves.”
