Beth Casey, B.A., M.S.

First obtaining a Master’s degree in Elementary Education from the University of New Haven in 2006, Beth continued her education earning a Graduate Certificate in Applied Behavior Analysis from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology in 2012.  In the past, Ms. Casey has worked as a classroom teacher in multiple school districts and is currently pursuing a cross endorsement in Special Education.  As an ABA trainer for ACES, Beth provides high-quality instructional support and direction to children with complex educational needs.

Catherine Cegan,

Catherine studied graphic design at Norwalk community college before accepting an individual aide position with ACES in 2014.  Ms Cegan accepted a position as an ABA trainer in the summer of 2015 and currently provides intensive educational programming to children on the Autism spectrum and to children with other developmental disorders.. 

Biela, Kristy-Lee, B.A.

Kristy-Lee recieved her Bachelors of Arts Degree in Psychology with a concentration in Art Therapy from Albertus Magnus College in 2010. She officially joined the ACES family in 2012 as a Trainer, but was first introduced to ACES as an intern in 2009 (for Art) and again in 2010 as an outplaced staff at another ACES location.  Ms. Biela provides intensive instructional and behavior management services to children within an ACES school. 

Shaquana Cobbs,

Shaquana Cobbs graduated from Southern Connecticut State University in 2014 with her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology. She will be graduating with her Master’s degree in Psychology in 2016. Once she has obtained her Master’s degree, Ms. Cobbs plans to become a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) for children with autism.

Talanna Daniels

Talanna became a part of the Aces team in July 2005. She enjoys working with students with various disabilities that require intensive behavioral implementation of functional communication training programs to help students learn to communicate more effectively.

Karol Gejda, B.S.

Karol recieved her Bachelor of Science degree in Early Childhood Education, with a concentration in Business at Mitchell College in 2013. She first began as a volunteer for ACES during winter and summer breaks from 2006 through 2010. Ms. Gejda offically joined the ACES family in 2011 as a permanent substitute teacher assistant. Two years later she accapted the position as an ABA Trainer in 2013. Since then she has provided instructional, and behavior management services for children ranging from ages 5 to 8, and currently ages 8 to 12.

Kirsten Grills

 After graduating High School, Kirsten continued her academic studies in the areas of Life Sciences and Early Childhood Education at Southern Connecticut State University and Housatonic Technical Community College. Ms. Grills joined the ACES team as a job coach in 2001 and became an ABA Trainer in 2004.  Kirsten was influential during the early years of the development of ACES EIBI program for students with Autism and related behavioral disorders.

Miasia Harris, B.S.

Miasia received her BS in Computer Information Systems from Brooklyn College before accepting an individual aide position with ACES in 2010.  With five years of experience in hand, Ms. Harris became an ABA Trainer and continued her career of providing quality educational and support to children diagnosed with autism and other disabilities.

 

Denise Langley  (2012 EDRA Recipient)

Denise is a graduate of Wilbur Cross High School before attending Gateway Community College in 1991-1992 where she studied Early Childhood Education. In November of 2004, Mrs. Langley began working part time for ACES in an after- school program. In 2005, Mrs Langley accepted a full time position as an ABA Trainer and for over a decade has provided natural leadership in delivering high quality services to children with multiple and complex developmental disorders.  In 2012, Denise won ACES Executive Director's Award in recognition of her outstanding service for children.

Angela Limosani,

 Angela graduated in 2011 with a Bachelors degree in Psychology from Central Connecticut State University. She is currently pursing a Master in Applied Behavior Analysis with a concentration in Autism from Baypath University. Ms. Limosani joined the ACES team in 2011, and she enjoy working with students with various disabilities. Her professinal interests include functional communication training and direct instruction.

Madeline Magnusson,

Madeline received her B.A in History from Elon University in 2014 while pursuing volunteer activities surrounding clinical and special needs advocacy. Subsequently, she worked as an individual aide at a DC-area special needs program. Madeline joined the ACES team in 2016 as an ABA trainer. Ms. Magnusson has experience in providing quality support to children and young adults in the areas of social, academic and behavioral curricula as well as occupational training.

Kate Mansfield, B.A., M.S.

Katelyn received her Bachelors of Arts degree in Psychology from Southern CT State University in 2013. While undergoing her undergraduate degree she volunteered in the Special Olympics, served as a team member for the group 'Best Buddies' and worked as a Community/Residential Support Mentor for the special needs population. She joined ACES back in February 2014 as an ABA trainer and is currently preparting to be a Board Certified Behavior Analyst.

 Ashley received B.A. In criminal justice from Albertus Magnus College in 2010 and came to ACES in August of 2012.  As an ABA Trainer for ACES, Ms. Reynolds provides intensive instructional services to young children with Autism and a variety of developmental disorders.

Cristina became a part of ACES two years after earning her BS in Psychology from Eastern Connecticut State University.  For several years an ABA trainer within an ACES school, Mrs. Rizzio has provided critical educational and behavior management services to young children with a multitude of social, academic, and behavioral skill deficits..

Christina received her BA in Psychology in 2005 from Southern Connecticut State University. Ms. SanGiovanni proudly joined the ACES team in 2006 as an ABA Instructor and has since worked with a wide range of students from the ages 3 to 18, in both the home and school settings.  Christina currently provides peer leadership, support, and on-going instructional and behavioral management services within ACES Autism Programs. In 2013 Ms. SanGiovanni received the Executive Directors Award for her dedication and service to the agency.

Kristen Van Der Maelen, B.A.

Graduating in 2012 from Wheelock College majoring in Human Growth and Development and Early Childhood with a focus in autism. Ms. Van Der Maelen is a certified teacher for Early Childhood Education in Connecticut and Massachusetts and is currently working towards BACB certification as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). Kristin has over ten years of experience working with children and adolescents in a variety of settings such as schools, homes and hospitals. The majority of Kristin’s experience involves working with children with special needs. Kristin began working for ACES in 2015 as an ABA trainer.
