ArtsLink New Haven provided a multidisciplinary learning experience for a diverse group of aspiring middle school artists in the fall of 2016. Approximately 150 middle school students from 6 New Haven public schools participated in two consecutive Friday ArtsLink sessions, which included a series of intense, exciting activities that span multiple artistic disciplines including playwriting, acting, visual arts, technical theatre, improvisation, music, and African drumming and dance. Each session was taught by highly qualified professional artists.  ArtsLink provided students with opportunities to explore their own culture as well as the cultures of others, to find common denominators, and to celebrate differences.

At ACES-ECA, ArtsLink provided students with a safe atmosphere to discover the wonders of arts education, practice teamwork, cultivate empathy and conscientiousness, and strengthen positive self image.
