Tom Igoe, a special education teacher at ACES Whitney High School East/West and a veteran member of the ACES faculty for more than 30 years , has been selected ACES Teacher of the Year for 2012-2013. Tom was humbled by the news of his selection and added that “The collaborative, positive and professional approach used at East in educating our students has been a foundation in my approach to working with our students.”
As the selected Teacher of the Year from ACES, Tom is eligible to participate in a statewide application process from which the Connecticut Teacher of the Year will emerge.
