Recent Grants
ACES Education Foundation
Thanks to the support of community partners and individuals, the ACES Education Foundation was able to award $31,410 in grants. These funds support innovative projects that help ACES teachers and staff enhance ACES programs and improve learning for students and clients. Recent ACES Education Foundation-funded initiatives include:
- A touring improvisational theatre touring group from ECA that performs for schools and senior centers in greater New Haven
- Residency for a Yale percussion group to help ECA students develop music composition skills
A 3 day "Ship to Shore" residential program for Mill Rd. students at Mystic Aquarium
- Books for a "Book Nook" for Mill Rd. students
- Training in Partner Assisted Scanning for students at Village School and Whitney HS East and West
- "Handwriting without Tears", a multisensory approach to teaching handwriting for Extension Therapy, Mill Rd., WIMS and Village students
- White board technology for TEMS students to support data driven instruction and feedback for student understanding
