Program Development
Where New Educational Initiatives Are Born
The ACES Program Development Department creates, funds and implements new ACES initiatives generated from our ongoing collaborations with our member districts, the Connecticut State Department of Education, and community and business leaders. These initiatives currently include:
- Open Choice -
Allows inner city children to fill openings in suburban schools and vice versa
- Program Initiatives - For teachers and students to work innovatively across district lines
- Data Collection - ACES Program Development collects data biennially from ACES member school districts in order to respond to the Connecticut State Department of Education's requirement to report on the number and types of activities that reduce racial isolation.
- Community Outreach
- ACES Education Foundation - Provides a means to support small, worthy, but unfunded ACES projects as they arise
Seeking funding in the form of state, federal, foundation and private grants enables ACES schools and programs as well as school district initiatives to provide high quality instruction to students and staff.
