ACES Behavior Services Center

Behavior ServicesSolving Classroom and Behavior Issues

The ACES Behavior Services Center (BSC) provides a wide array of programs and trainings designed to support students, teachers, parents and communities in resolving instructional and behavioral issues. The BSC’s work is based in the science of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). ABA, as a science, is the product of seven decades of research. In that time behavior analysts have provided the foundation for learning principles as applied to both instructional and clinical methodologies. It is important to note that ABA methods, empirically demonstrated, through educational, behavioral, and experimental research, have repeatedly been found to be superior to alternative approaches in producing significant academic and socially relevant outcomes.

ACES BSC provides support for students, teachers, and parents in three significant ways: (1) Consultation to school districts, parents, and agencies; (2) Implementation of an Early Intensive Behavior Intervention (EIBI) program for children and youth on the autism spectrum; and (3) Behavior support for internal ACES programs.

The BSC Consultation Team, comprised of highly qualified Behavior Analysts, provides support for our ACES regional school districts. Support is delivered through the design and implementation of empirically demonstrated behavior technologies.

The BSC Home Services Team is composed of Board Certified Behavior Analysts who provide training and support to parents both within the home and community.

The EIBI Team is comprised of Board Certified Behavior Analysts who provide instructional design, training, and clinical services for children and youth who participate in the EIBI program housed at Village School.

ABA After-School Programming is delivered and supervised by Board Certified Behavior Analysts and a highly qualified ABA Trainer team. The program is designed to provide students with the necessary skills that allow meaning participation in a recreational program.

The ACES Behavior Tech Team provides support for internal ACES programs in the form of behavior assessments, behavior support plans, and reinforcement programs. This support has proved invaluable in supporting education of students in both academic and social skills.
