At ACES, we use the Common Sense Media site to help us learn about Online Safety and Digital Citizenship. There are movie and game reviews for parents and most importantly videos about online safety. There are many parent ideas and student videos for teaching and learning.

Interdistrict Magnet Schools

Interdistrict Magnet Schools are designed to voluntarily attract students across school districts from diverse backgrounds by offering special, high-quality curriculum. ACES operates three magnet schools: ACES Educational Center for the Arts, ACES Thomas Edison Middle School and ACES Wintergreen Interdistrict Magnet School.

ACES Pupil Services

ACES Pupil Services department specializes in providing support to students within the educational setting. The Related Services that are provided to the ACES Schools include: Assistive Technology, Occupational Therapy , Physical Therapy, Psychology, School Counseling, Social Work, Nursing, and Speech/Language. The ACES Collaborative Programs are a cadre of services that connect ACES educational specialists with district staff to serve students with disabilities in their local district. ACES staff are presently providing services in the following programs: ACES – East Haven Collaborative, ACES – West Haven Collaborative and ACES School Program at Yale New Haven Hospital, St. Raphael Campus.

ACES Special Education Schools are deigned to meet the unique needs of students with a wide array of developmental and physical disabilities. ACES special education schools implement state of the art assistive technology, equipment and instructional strategies. ACES operates five special education schools: ACES Center for Autism Spectrum and Developmental Disabilities, ACES Mill Road School, ACES Village School, ACES Whitney High School East / West and Whitney High School North.
