ACES began a 5 year strategic planning process in October, 2007 with a team of over 100 internal and external ACES stakeholders.  The team included administrators, coordinators, aides, teachers, parents, governing board members and local superintendents.  They created a mission statement and strategic parameters for the organization and drafted a plan comprised of four objectives and five strategies.

Since the approval of the strategic plan by the ACES Governing Board in the 2007-08 school year, action teams were formed around each strategy and have worked to implement the guidelines in the plan.

A continuation of the Strategic Plan was initiated in 2012 and ACES stakeholders are tasked with using three new objectives to drive curriculum, innovation and fiscal responsibility at ACES for the next five years.
